A very busy session today marking the first of the Summer Fun Sessions.  After a boundary walk we looked at the activities on offer and all set to work – hammer and nails, whittling with potato peelers and soft balsa wood and using the bow saw and palm drills to make our own name cookies.

Not everyone had a go with the tools, preferring to have a wonder and explore but we all came together for some hot chocolate and popcorn.  The embers died down on the fire and we tried some bread on a stick but the wind got the better of us and the heat was lost too quickly.
