🌿💚LOOKING to make some Elder syrup over the next couple of weeks as the berries ripen; I was looking up the folklore of the Elder … some of these I knew, some I didn’t …

– the tree is inhabited by a spirit called The Elder Mother
– if you cut the tree without asking permission, she’ll get cross
– if you have an Elder growing outside your door, you’ll be protected from witches and other assorted evil spirits, entities, monsters, dragons etc
– stand under the Elder tree at Midsummer and you’ll see fairies
– fall asleep under the tree and the fairies will take you away

🌿💚HERE I am sitting in a tree before my next session feeling grateful to have been able to offer up sessions and to have the chance to see you ALL again. The LAST Summer Sessions are THIS Friday then I am taking a break BEFORE a return to school and our new normal. At the moment I do not know when I will be able to offer up sessions again BUT I will keep you posted 💚🌿

🌿💚A lovely morning playing & exploring, climbing and printing, potion and bubble pipe making. I think we all feel better for having the TIME outside 💚🌿

🌿💚ALMOST missed the weather today at Carry on Kelmarsh BUT got caught out for the last session ☔️😀 …. a very busy day making natural crafts: story sticks, printing, clay pots and faces, some elder pencils, games, fire n food 😊💚🌿

💚SO today WHIZZED by … we had some stories, made story sticks, lots of clay faces, played hide n seek, made natural crafts, seed showers, fires, food & potions …. the weather was kind to us too! Oh and plus we found an elephant hawk moth caterpillar.  Thank you all for coming and have a lovely weekend 💚🌿

🌿💚Even the tweens/ teens popped down for snack #never too old to make pizzas! Note to self: tween/ teen sessions NEXT Summer 😊💚🌿

💚Week 3 of the Summer Sessions yesterday – another lovely sunny day playing and exploring, cooking and craft, stories, potions and clay faces with a spot of shopping role play, stopping to shake the cow parsley seed heads and making it snow. Lovely to see everyone 💚🌿

💚AN amazing day working at Kelmarsh – the sun shone again but there was lots of shade and a much appreciated breeze …. 💚🌿

💚ANOTHER super sunny session today … playing games, making potions, shadows & people, tracking games, hide n seek, some SLOW DOWN, bird and frog spotting and some tool work. Thank you ALL for coming, looking forward to next week 😊💚🌿

☁️ SOME great clouds last night … CAN anyone else see what I see – cloud planets or even spacecraft emerging from the sky …. (yes, I have an overactive imagination!) ☁️
