🌳🌲🌳THAT Sunday afternoon feeling thinking about work and getting a PLAN together … then I realised that I had left my notes and folder at school scuppering my forward planning moment leaving me with a BLANK sheet. THIS made me smile as my ‘planning sheets’ are just possibilities for activities – stemming from the interests of the children in the group and to be honest with a handful of go-to ideas gained over the last few years most planning sheets could just be like this with a few notes for reflection once the session has ended. 😊❤️🌳🌲🌳

🌳🌲GETTING ready for the week ahead following on from the week before, reflecting WHAT worked? WHAT didn’t? Looking at HOW each child likes to play and building on that. Just read a great book covering Multiple Intelligences (well worth a read) and drawing on my sensory processing webinar by The Therapeutic Forest looking at self regulation ideas …. LOOKING to carry on with our mud pie making in celebration of Earth Day 🌎 this week, potion shops and emotion potions – using colour to reflect our feelings. PROVIDING opportunities for some tool use, bubble pipe possibilities, LOTS of hide n seek – trying hard with our DEER ears to hear the call of our Owl 🦉, some mobile making (how cool is this wool from Aldi! 😊) and ANYTHING else we come up with before coming together with our Speaking Stick to plan for the following week😊🌳🌲🌳🌲

🌳🌲🌳SOMETHING which I have found quite helpful is the use of visuals to form a rough session timetable … helps with understanding and any anxiety about what we may be doing in the session 😊🌳🌲🌲

🌳🌲 🌸 🌺 EXCITED to be back at school tomorrow with my trolley of possibilities … adding petals, dried flowers & herbs to the potions/ mud kitchen area and bringing in some loppers for natural paint brush making ideas, identifying and then using Elder and tent pegs to push out the middle to add our paint brush bristles, a slack line for balancing fun with a den building challenge for those who want …. PLUS anything else we come up with ☺️🌸🌺🌳🌲

🌳🌲🌳💚A spot of litter picking this morning and preparing the site for some SESSIONS (whoop whoop!!) starting up NEXT week with the lovely Sonia Williams. I think these have booked up super quick BUT there will be more happening …🌳🌲🌳💚🌲

🌳🐣🌲💚WISHING you ALL a very happy Easter …. met up this morning with the lovely Sonia Williams of ‘The Parenting Journey’, Beth Allen of ‘WONDER in the Wild’ and our lovely Pat to make some PLANS and throw some ideas and dates around for some sessions to be announced SOON. 🌳🌲🌳TRYING my hand yesterday at a Willow heart … mine turned out a bit wonky (but WHO wants perfection anyway?? 😊🤗) but it’s simple and effective 💚🌳🌲🌳

🌲🌳I didn’t have any twine on me at the time BUT at home I have used some to try and secure the shape 💚🌳🌲

🌳🌲🌳NOTICING the lovely fresh green shoots appearing on our walks it’s definitely coming to THAT time for some lovely fresh Spring green foraging 🌱 🌱. GRAB a good ID book or App and start having a look …. I’ve been reading about the cleansing benefits of Cleavers tea and WE all know how tasty nettle tea can be ☕️ – both best used when the leaves are young. Old nettle leaves taste a bit like cabbage! Happy foraging! 🌳🌱💚🌱🌳☕️

🌳🌲🌳SHARING some of the activities we have done at school this week … WE have enjoyed our book Tap the Magic Tree (I LOVE this book and many of YOU have seen it before), made beds for our Bog Babies, some fairy house making, had scavenger hunts using our Go Find It cards but you can do anything – lookimg for colours/ shapes – you can do anything! Use an old egg box or similar and write in your criteria. TODAY we went on Easter egg hunts, decorated an Easter tree and looked for our Easter bunny which you could do in your garden or open space.🌳🌲🌳🌺🐣

🌲🌳🌲IT was great to be out on a windy day enjoying the feeling of the wind as we stretched out our arms and swayed like the trees 🌲🌳🌲
