🌲🌳SNATCHING some sunshine and dodging the showers this week so far☀️ 🌧️, it’s hard to feel that the Summer Solstice is only around the corner☀️.

🌲🌳Lots of fun on Monday trying our hand at making bramble cordage – I find this easier than nettle. This is no mean task and can be super fiddly (I forgot to use clipboards to aid with the plaiting!). Using some young bramble stems it’s easy to remove the thorns and separate the fibres for plaiting bracelets.

🌳🌲WE began making some Summer crowns too with our youngest group using willow and wildflowers to decorate – I added ivy round mine to hold it together a little firmer and added some Hawthorn leaves (we’ll be making these at the Summer Solstice Celebration next week) and enjoyed making some clay prints with seeds.

Love having such a range of ages all in one day! 🌳🌳💚
