Forest School adopts a totally child centred and child led approach to the outdoors – it is very much about a way in which Leaders can educate, learn and explore with children and has a whole child inclusive approach. Activities are set out as possibilities, often stemming from child led interests within the group but the emphasis is on parents/ carers following and supporting their child’s choice of play.

There is a loose structure to the sessions allowing time to come and explore the area before activities are set out with stories and games and free play.
